In September of 2021, Elon Musk, the eccentric head of Tesla Motors, said that he didn’t expect Tesla to begin Cybertruck production until 2022. High-volume production isn’t expected to begin until the latter half of 2023, thanks to a lot of new emerging technology in the electric pickup market.

The Cybertruck is certainly unique. As Car and Driver put it, it looks as though it was dropped onto Earth by “an alien race.” The truck is not super expensive, thanks to the flat sheets Tesla uses in its production. The 0 to 60 time for the Cybertruck is 6.5 seconds, and the battery range is 250 miles.
