The Toyota Corolla GR is expected to arrive in the latter half of 2022, according to Forbes. The Corolla will have a three-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine (turbocharged, of course) and an all-wheel drive system from the GR Yaris, a European market car.

The GR Corolla will have GR and hydrogen versions, the latter of which would use the combustion engine from Toyota. The Corolla GR is expected to get 257 horsepower, 266 pound-feet of torque, and a five-door hatchback body. Toyota picked a hydrogen engine because it isn’t a traditional fuel cell, but it emits nearly zero C02 and just a little bit of NOx (nitrogen oxide).
