Between when it premiered, in 2009, and its most recent season, which concluded in the spring of 2021, the fourth installment of “The Real Housewives” franchise took only one year (2015) off of production. But, after 11 seasons on the air, in the summer of 2021, the future of the show was up in the air.

With its rating slowly fading, and a budget of around $1 million per episode, it looked like Teresa and Melissa’s time on television was coming to an end, but “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” hung on, and the show was renewed for a 12th (and, possibly, final) season that is set to premiere in early 2022.
