Inspired by the ABC comedy-drama series, “Desperate Housewives”, RHOC first aired in 2005, and has since spawned not just a franchise, but an empire of “Real Housewives”. Aside from the other 11 American “Housewives” installments, there have also been 21 international spin-offs.

The 16th season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County”, in the past 15 years, is set to kick off December 1st, 2021, but similar to the other real housewives, who are currently on the air, the future of the franchise’s original series is up in the air.
