Just over 2.7 million people in the United States took the time to watch the first two episodes of “The Moodys”, when they aired back-to-back in December 2019, however, following the year that was 2020, people’s tastes changed. Viewers weren’t in the mood for the comedic stylings of the “The Moodys” anymore, and the numbers were proof.

After a year away from production, season 2 of “The Moodys” returned in April 2021, but the show’s viewers did not. With only a third of the first season’s viewers tuning in each week, Fox found itself with no choice but to change the mood with a change of programming.
