Taking a television series from the development phase through to completion, and being aired, is no easy feat, and the team behind bringing the post-apocalyptic comic book series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, “Y: The Last Man”, learned that the hard way. It took, nearly, 15 years to bring the story to life, including a failed attempt at a film, but in the fall of 2021, the hard work paid off.

Developed and produced by FX, “Y: The Last Man”, the television series, was not received as well as its comic book parentage, and, before the first season even finished airing, showrunners were told there would be no sophomore season.
