Canceled!? Big Budget TV Shows On The Chopping Block

HBO Max made a statement about the fate of Genera+ion, saying that it wasn’t going to be “moving forward” with another season of the LGBTQ-friendly show. The series was created by Zelda Barnes, and it featured LGBTQ high school students and their stories.

The show premiered in March of 2021, and it wasn’t long until HBO made the announcement that it would no longer be airing Genera+ion. More than likely, the reason had to do with low ratings. Despite the dramedy’s cancellation, HBO said that It was “proud” to be a part of a show that “faithfully and authentically” represented the LGBTQ community.
