On June 23, 2020, Netflix rewarded #blackAF’s cast and crew for a job well done by giving them an order for a second season. With all the time off during the production blackout, something must have changed at Netflix, because one year to the day after the renewal order was given for a second season, the decision was revoked, and the show was canceled.
