The children’s book series, “Arthur”, has been teaching kids about manners, morals, and friendship, for more than 50 years. About halfway through its run, Kathy Waugh developed the popular book series into, what would instantly become, a popular kids television series with the same basic messages as the books.

Over the years, Arthur has surpassed all other animated children’s shows in longevity, and, now holds the distinction of being the longest-running animated kid’s show in U.S. history. As the years have passed, those who grew up with Arthur have passed the torch onto their children, but after 25 seasons of enriching the lives of the youth, in the winter of 2022, Arthur the aardvark will enter his burrow for the last time on television.
