Given how much of an important role The Batmobile plays in Batman, it’s only natural that most people might assume it was specially made for the original TV series in the ‘60s. However, that’s not exactly the case. The first Batmobile was actually a repurposed concept car created for 1959’s It Started with a Kiss.

Of course, the car underwent somewhat of a transformation that included a new paint job and some harder edges, but it’s clear to see that it’s the same one from the movie. The side-by-side comparison of the car is interesting, to say the least.
