Prop masters are used to sourcing weapons for movies, including swords. In the case of Kill Bill, plenty had to be found. They were stored safely away after shooting was wrapped, with two of them actually going on to appear in Sin City two years later.

The samurai swords used by the Crazy 88 in Tarantino’s movie ended up being used by Miho in the noir comic-book caper. This exchange was the work of the director, Robert Rodriguez, who is close friends with Tarantino.
