Designed by Gene Winfield, The Reactor is hard to miss. The low-slung, brightly-colored car is most-famous for its appearance in Star Trek, when it belonged to Captain Kirk. It was featured in the episode “Bread and Circuses,” and at least eighteen different photos were taken with the Reactor for publicity.

That was far from the Reactor’s last appearance. In addition to its stint as Mach 2, it was also in the episode “The Funny Feline Felonies” of Batman, where Catwoman drove it around. The Reactor was seen in the Mission: Impossible episode called “The Freeze,” as well as the Bewitched episode, “Super Car.”
