Who could forget Chucky’s eyes? The maniacal little doll had bright blue orbs sticking out of his plastic head, and they were one of the creepiest things about him (in addition to the bad haircut). The eyes from Tales from the Crypt on HBO were equally creepy and, if you look closely, identical.

That’s because the eyes used to animate Chucky in Child’s Play were reused on the Crypt Keeper. The eyes were designed by Kevin Yagher, who took the eyes from the Chucky doll when it was stripped and deconstructed after its 1988 horror debut. Yagher also worked on Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, and Nightmare on Elm Street, three unforgettable horror franchises.
