The beautiful Bronson Canyon, located in sunny California, is one of film’s most reused movie sets. The setting was first used in the 1919 movie Lightning Bryce, an actor film starring Jack Hoxie. From there, the Bronson Canyon has had appearances in Flash Gordon, The Three Musketeers, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Wonder Woman, Batman, Little House on the Prairie, Star Trek: Voyager, and more.

Most recently, Bronson Canyon was the location for scenes from Cabin Fever and The Scorpion King. Building a set like that could cost $10,000 to $100,000, and renting one would be far more expensive. Luckily, Mother Nature provided the perfect setting.
