OtherworldOnline.org spotted a reuse in a few sci-fi movies and shows. The blasters that had already made the rounds in the Battlestar Galactica project were used in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. The props were originally created for productions by Glen A. Larson, but they’d go on to circulate for years.

Their most famous appearance, in addition to Otherworld, is in the Star Trek franchise. The blasters turned up there, along with other elements of the set, in a few scenes of The Next Generation and Voyager. Who knows? Maybe these blasters are still being tweaked and repainted for new sci-fi movies to come.
