Items Needed: White vinegar, spray bottle
Est. Price: $5-$7*
Usually, when you think of windshields and ice, you envision how to get ice off the windshield after it has already frozen over. Though there are a lot of hacks on this list that can help you out with this, this hack is a preventative measure to stop ice from evening forming in the first place.
You’ll need white vinegar, which usually costs $1 to $3 per bottle at your local grocery store. Mix three parts vinegar with one part water. Place the mix into a clean, empty spray bottle and spray down your windshield before you go to bed. The solution will keep frost from forming on the glass, thanks to the vinegar’s acidity.
