Due to the astronomical prices of hearing aids, which could reach up to more than $6,000 a pair, millions of Americans are going through their lives while missing out on many of life’s wondrous sounds.

The ability to hear is a privilege that almost 90% of Americans have, and in order to give the other 10% the same privilege Congress has set forth a proposal that would see hearing aids added to the list of medical needs that Medicare will cover.
