It’s true that Winona Ryder and Christian Slater’s Heathers wasn’t exactly a break-out hit. In fact, it was a financial flop. That being said, the movie did gain traction over the years to become a cult classic, with many appreciating it now as a truly brilliant piece of ‘80s cinema.

In 2017, rumblings started circulating of a black comedy series based on the movie going into production. Eventually, it was released in 2018, but sadly only lasted for one series. Despite that, Heathers fans were pleased with the show and felt it served to prolong the movie’s legacy.
