There are few movies that have as much of an impact as Psycho did on cinema. Alfred Hitchcock’s movie was based on the book of the same name by Robert Bloch, introducing Norman Bates to a much wider audience.

Needless to say, the movie was incredibly popular and spawned sequels, although none were quite as impactful as the original outing. In 2013, A&E released Bates Motel, a prequel to the first movie set in modern times. It proved wildly popular, scooping numerous awards and lasting for 5 seasons.
