The Northern and Southern Route are the two components of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The Southern Route’s landscape is ever-changing, and though you do travel in a straight line, parts of the Southern Route are damaged and dilapidated. The Northern Route is in better condition, but it is longer and has more twists and turns.
