The Rohtang La, as it’s called, is not just one of the most dangerous roads in the country—it’s also one of the busiest. Rohtang is open from May to November, as it would be too dangerous to attempt it in the winter months. It often encounters traffic jams, and road conditions deteriorate quickly if there is snow.
