According to Homes and Gardens, low ceilings make rooms feel small and cramped. Though they can make the room cozier, if you have the wrong furniture, low ceilings make you feel as though you are suffocating. It’s best to play it safe—don’t lower your ceilings if you are planning to sell your home.
