According to Vox in 2020, “Minimalism is dead,” and it’s time to “meet maximalism.” For those who don’t know, maximalism is based on the concept that “more is more.” This loud style consists of excessive collections, saturated colors, mixed patterns, and a general aesthetic of excess.

There’s just one problem—maximalism isn’t for everyone. Some buyers, when they walk into a maximalist home, might find themselves overwhelmed by how loud and bright it is. Also, maximalism is a lot harder to tear down and change than minimalism.
