South Park is known for its incisive cultural commentary, often making extremely topical references. While admittedly not for everyone, the show has certainly struck a chord with enough of an audience to remain on the air, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon, and the $900 million the creators received to keep making content certainly sweetens the deal.
