57. Jammu Airport – India
Year of construction: 1985
Risk factors: Dimensions
This airport, which is located near the border of India and Pakistan, can accommodate only three aircraft. Jammu’s terminal measures just 69,965 square feet (which is small for a terminal), and the airport’s only runway does not abide by regulatory measures.
In fact, the asphalt slab is so short that, in 2017, a plane passed the end of the runway because it did not have enough space to brake. Fortunately the mishap was not catastrophic, but that does not mean that Jammu’s track is a safe place to land.
