While Chicago Midway International Airport might not be dangerous per se, the airport is still ranked as one of the worst. According to Curbed Chicago, Midway has been ranked as America’s “worst airport.”

There are quite a few reasons people hate Midway, not the least of which is how bare-bones the airport is regarding amenities. Midway has only one lounge, and gates are almost always crowded. Flight delays are common, and the airport, with its grey hallways and lack of, well, anything, is just depressing. The Points Guy also noted that the airport takes forever to get to because of traffic, so passengers are already annoyed when they arrive.
