Travel & Leisure Magazine, a travel report, does annual rankings of airports’ safety, when it comes to their runways. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was ranked as one of the most dangerous airports in America for runway safety in 2011. Between 2006 and 2011, there were sixty-one runway incidents at DFW.

DFW was the only Texas airport on the Travel & Leisure list. The publication gave it a safety score of 2.86, making it ranked tenth. Considering that DFW is the second-largest airport in America, these results, which detailed a lot of close calls and incidents on the runway, are troubling.
