In 2020, there was a concerning incident at the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where patrons sitting in a restaurant at Concourse A were given a nasty surprise when a chunk of the ceiling fell in. The ceiling incident caused at least one diner to have to go to the hospital.

This random incident was caused by improper construction. Apparently, the ceiling was attached incorrectly during the construction phase. Discovery of this poor work led the airport to hire engineers to determine whether other businesses were safe. Hopefully, there won’t be a repeat incident of this ceiling collapse.
