KL International instituted a new FODDS (Foreign Object Debris Detection System) in April of 2021, which aims to monitor runways with high-precision radars to make sure that no foreign debris gets on them. The towers at KL are being revamped with these FODDS radars, which have high-resolution cameras and real-time data collection. These cameras will help the runways get cleared as quickly as possible.
