Patrick Mahomes II is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas Tech and was drafted by the Chiefs in the 10th overall 2017 NFL Draft.
Following an unsuccessful start to his career due to a broken thumb injury, Mahomes led Kansas City to their first AFC West division title since 2010, which included passing for 5,097 yards with 50 touchdowns in 2019, becoming just the second player in NFL history following Peyton Manning in 2004 to throw for over 5,000 yards or more with 50 or more touchdowns in a single season.
