Kyler Murray is the quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals. He was selected with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oklahoma and won the Heisman Trophy in 2018.

Murray was born in Allen, Texas, on December 19, 1997. His father, Kevin Murray, was a running back for Texas A&M, and his mother, Sharlee Moore, played soccer at Oklahoma State University. Unfortunately, she passed away when Kyler was young, but he grew up around athletics as his father coached high school football and baseball teams in Texas.

Murray attended Allen High School in Allen, Texas, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He played quarterback for all three sports and earned MVP honors as a junior when he led his team to an undefeated season and a state title game appearance with 3,021 passing yards and 33 touchdowns while also rushing for 700 yards and nine touchdowns on offense. In addition to playing quarterback, Murray also made appearances at wide receiver during his senior year before committing to play college football at Oklahoma University in 2016. He would play under head coach Lincoln Riley.
